Often parents and carers are kind enough to pass along nice comments and feedback about the nursery. Below is a selection we’re proud to share...
“This Nursery is simply fantastic. We have the last of three children currently in the Butterfly Room (the other two also attended before starting school). The variety of activities is amazing. Our son enjoys himself so much every single time he is in nursery. The communication from the Nursery is commendable, the updates that they put on Tapestry give a great insight into what the children have been up to – which is always a lot! The activities always have an element of stretch in as well and our son really enjoys that challenge. The level of care that all the staff give goes beyond the call of duty. In 6/7 years of sending our children to this nursery we have not had one issue, not even a minor one. Our children could not have had a better start to their education” Paul C

“Both of my two children have attended the nursery, my youngest is currently in the Butterfly Room. We are very grateful for all the support, help, guidance and teachings they have been given. Everybody who works there is an absolute credit to the nursery. It is a very kind, caring and nurturing environment in which both my children have thrived. My husband and I have attended both the mathematics and phonics workshops. Both of these were fantastic and gave us some great ideas as to what we could do to help and support our child at home” Amy L

“The communication at nursery is outstanding. We welcome the opportunity to discuss our daughter’s progress at regular parent meetings with the keyworker. It is clear that she knows our daughter extremely well and is providing her with individual learning opportunities. Tapestry is regularly updated with lots of photographs and information about our child’s progress. Staff encourage us as parents to contribute. Both the inside and outside environments are enriching and enabling. Those leading the nursery strive to create the best experiences possible for the children within their care. They have worked tirelessly to achieve the Curiosity Approach Accredited status. They have shared their vision of creating diverse environments with open-ended learning opportunities with parents, involved them in the creation of the natural, authentic environment by donating real world objects” Angie C

“When my little girl was told she could be lactose intolerant, I was worried how we would go about this, however the ladies at Loddon Nursery were excellent as always, and wrote down a list for us, so we could buy the same products for her. The ladies are so passionate in what they do and it really does show, nothing is ever too much trouble and they are brilliant!” Steph A

“I have been very happy with the support that they have offered to both my son and myself – being a very anxious parent this was greatly appreciated and has helped him to settle well into the nursery. I’m so glad that I chose Loddon Nursery, even going as far as travelling an hour out of my way in the morning and evening to get him there!” Natasha C

“After visiting a number of nurseries when selecting childcare options for my daughter, I knew the instant that I walked into Loddon Nursery School that this was the one for her - there was absolutely no comparison! The staff are friendly, caring and extremely approachable. They really get to know the entire family and have an excellent understanding of the children in their care. Key workers work incredibly hard to understand the children they care for, and my two children have adored all the key staff that have been assigned to them. Smooth transitions between each room have meant that changes are painless and new relationships are quickly formed.
“My children feel happy, safe and secure at nursery and have learnt so many skills since attending Nursery. I have been thoroughly impressed with all the staff at the school. They are professional, knowledgeable, friendly and approachable. If I have any queries or questions the staff always take the time to answer my questions quickly. I feel that communication between the staff and parents is consistent and I am well informed on my child’s progress either at the end of the day and during parent’s evenings throughout the year. I feel that Loddon Nursery is a fantastic setting and I am so pleased that my children have secured a place here”

“The variety and quality of the food is amazing, an excellent well balanced diet is always given” Rachel S
"It's never easy leaving your children to go off to work, but Loddon Nursery have made it a far less painful task than it could be, as I know that my children are happy, stimulated, and extremely well cared for during their day. In my opinion, Jayne, Alison and Tracey run an exceptional nursery and I am so glad that both of my children have enjoyed their early years education here” Louise K

"My son has been attending Loddon Nursery for over a year now and we (and he) couldn’t be happier. Having visited many nurseries we were bowled over by how personal and committed the whole team are. In the early days I was a nervous wreck leaving my son and I was constantly reassured by all the team, they even called me on my mobile to say he was fine just so I didn’t worry” Thea S

“Our children only started at Nursery earlier this year but the transition from a previous Nursery has been exceptionally attentive and smooth for us and the children. The approach to learning and continual development at differing stages for both of our children is really impressive. With each key worker quickly and genuinely getting to understand individual personalities, competencies and development areas”. Dan S

“The individual thought and planning as well as the amazing care for all my children attending Nursery has never been in question. The Curiosity Approach has been a fabulous shift, moving my children towards exploring and using their imaginations. In areas where my children have shown natural ability or curiosity, the staff are always keen to let them explore things further and have come up with a range of interesting and imaginative opportunities to make this happen” Alison C

“The recent change to the curiosity approach we believe is a really positive one. Both the indoor and outside environments encourage our daughter to use her imagination and follow her own interests. The detailed observations on Tapestry capture what happens on a typical day at Nursery. These observations along with regular parent consultations keep us informed on her current development and next steps” Charlotte D

“The interaction with all of the staff at Loddon is consistent, friendly and informed. No question ever feels silly to ask and information and communication is easy and simple. We have complete trust in everyone there and feel confident and happy in leaving our children in their care. The information in the girls’ books is always helpful and we love the updates on tapestry and its ability to explain aspects of the EYFS to us. The workshops and parents evenings offered are also so helpful in helping us to teach and support our children at home. We couldn’t ask for a better place to send our children and we already dread the day they’re too old to attend!” Chloe A

“I find Tapestry a great way to view pictures of what my son has been up to and it really compliments the feedback I get at the end of the day from his keyworker. I also like to upload pictures or comments of what my son has been up to and it feels like it benefits everyone. The regular parent’s evenings are really helpful too and provide an even fuller picture of how he is progressing” Ruth R

“Loddon Nursery School has been pivotal in the development of both my children, my daughter who is now 7 (and is at school) and my son who still attends the nursery who is 3.
They have developed key relationships within friendship groups and key workers and been given the tools to learn at that own pace, in their own way. Their confidence has grown through each of the classes, with encouragement from all of the team to explore and examine new techniques and activities.
I believe Loddon nursery provides the grounding, and gives the children the guidance/confidence to be able to move into school seamlessly”.
